Installation of waste and recyclable container monitoring, to wirelessly monitor container fullness levels, providing complete visibility and reducing the cost and resources required to optimize waste hauling in the North and South territories.
In the Northern and Southern territories of the city, hauling of selective waste (recyclable glass and plastic) is more critical / expensive.
This project will allow, beyond a more efficient waste management by contractors, to have real time information: container fullness levels (weight and volume) as well as temperature.
WASTE AND RECYCLABLE
CONTAINER MONITORING
In the Northern and Southern territories of the city, hauling of selective waste (recyclable glass and plastic) is more critical / expensive. This project will allow for wireless real time monitoring of the containers
In the northern territories (17th district), sensors will be deployed in 35 recyclable plastic waste containers and in 38 recyclable glass containers. Likewise, in the southern territories, sensors will be deployed in 90 recyclable plastic waste containers and in 100 recyclable glass containers.

Scope
Sensorization of 262 Containers + Management Application
- Glass: 135 containers
- Light packaging: 127 containers
- Ultrasonic Technology
- Useful life 10 years
- Mobile communication
Deployment area
Areas have been chosen where, due to the distances, the collection efficiency can be improved.
In this example, it can be seen how it goes from being collected with a % below 50% to being collected with averages of 80/90%.
