The future of wastewater treatment in the climate change context
València European Green Capital 2024 has stood out for its environmental commitment at the event titled “The future of wastewater treatment in the climate change context”, held in the newly inaugurated La Harinera hall at Las Naves, València.
The event, which brought together more than 60 experts and professionals, was organized by Simetría Grupo and Ciclagua, in collaboration with València Innovation Capital. This initiative is part of the EU Green Week, aimed at raising awareness and promoting sustainable and collaborative solutions for water management. Additionally, the event featured participation from representatives of the València City Council, EPSAR, associations, and technological platforms.
Antonio García Celda, director of València European Green Capital 2024 of the València City Council, and Francisco José Vea, director of Innovation and New Technologies at Simetría Grupo, welcomed the attendees. The event included a roundtable discussion on the present and future of water treatment in the Valencian Community. García Celda highlighted València’s initiatives and achievements on its path to sustainability, along with Durk Krol, CEO of Water Europe, who provided a European perspective on water treatment.
Such meetings are crucial for finding innovative solutions and moving towards a more sustainable future. The active participation of València as European Green Capital 2024 underscores its leadership in environmental protection and efficient water resource management.
